Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is currently accepting applications for its Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) associate degree programs.

The MLT program at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ trains students to obtain, process, test, and evaluate patient biological samples, including blood and other body fluids. Laboratory test results and information gathered aid physicians in making accurate diagnoses and choosing appropriate patient treatments.

Students in the MLT program will become familiar with the use and maintenance of equipment used in a clinical laboratory. They will complete intensive coursework on campus and gain hands-on practice at participating clinical sites.

The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredits Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s MLT program. Students must complete the MLT application by November 30, 2024.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s PTA program allows students to use their motivational, creative, problem-solving, and people skills to help others. Under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, physical therapist assistants work as a team to provide rehabilitative therapies to various populations, including athletes, children, adults of various ages, and those recovering from an illness or injury. These therapies improve daily independence and quality of life by maximizing balance, strength, alignment, coordination, flexibility, and overall mobility.

The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredits the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ PTA program. Students must complete the PTA application by January 31, 2025.

The next program-specific application period for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s LPN/ADN Transition and Registered Nursing programs will open on December 15, 2024, and close on January 31, 2025. Students can apply for the Veterinary Technology program from January 1, 2025, to April 30, 2025.
